How we can Help

Everyone wants to live well and be part of a community.

Our Good Sammy Options team will support you to do this by listening to what your interests and needs are and helping you plan and achieve your goals. You are in control, making decisions about what’s important to you, and we will be your partners in the journey.

Our dedicated and highly-trained staff will develop opportunities for meaningful community participation. We’ll help you to feel more confident, get you out-and-about, do your shopping, go dancing, make new friends and learn how to cook. All of these opportunities will help you to be more independent, to live well and be a part of your community.

At Good Sammy Options, we offer an excellent choice of services you may like to consider, including:

Community Program

This program will help you to participate in a range of activities like joining in with local clubs, sporting, church groups, and even dance classes. This is a great way to get out and about and meet new people. We will work in partnership with you to plan your journey.

Life and Work Skills Program

The LAWS program provides a safe forum for people to not only learn, but also discuss, share, and embark on life and work experiences together. 

Daily Living Program

We know your independence is important to you which is why our programs are aimed at supporting you to develop your life skills. We will work on your goals with activities like learning how to cook, how to budget your money, shopping and learning how to travel confidently. This will help you to do the things that matter to you most.

Good Sammy Options offers a wide range of community activities

Community Program

This program will help you to participate in a range of activities like;

  • joining in with local clubs
  • joining sporting and church and groups,
    and even dance classes.

This is a great way to get out and about and meet new people. We will work in partnership with you to plan your journey.

Good Sammy Options - Life and Work Skills Program

Life and Work Skills Program

The LAWS programs are run as two-hour, in-house workshops where we will work with you to cover a range of Life and Work skills.

The workshops cover both working life and day to day skills such as;

  • Exploring Your Work Options and Planning Your Career
  • Learning about Resume Writing and Techniques
  • Job Search Skills, Interview Tips and Techniques
  • Communication and Team Skills
  • Being Money Wise and Budgeting
  • Further Education and Training
  • Housing / Accommodation
  • Personal Safety, Nutrition, Hygiene and Presentation
  • Transport and Travelling

At Good Sammy Options, we can provide support that helps you improve your skills, build relationships and be part of your community. We will help you to develop essential life skills, like managing money, finding housing, developing friendships and assist you in transport and travelling. We’ll even help you to learn about healthy eating, personal safety and time management. 

We will help you to participate in a range of activities like joining in with local clubs, sporting, church groups, and even dance classes. This is a great way to get out and about and meet new people. We will work in partnership with you to plan your journey.

To become an NDIS participant you must:

• Have a permanent impairment that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities; or have a developmental delay.

• Be aged less than 65 when you first apply to enter the NDIS.

• Live in Australia in an NDIS area on a specific date.

• Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or Protected Special Category visa

If you unsure about your eligibility to receive NDIS funding, or if you are eligible but are not sure about the next step, we can assist you with NDIS planning and funded services that will help ensure that you will enjoy the most benefit that your funding allows.
